The noise of a passing car with a pumping stereo and a dog barking floats into the open window.
A glass of water stands nearby, the condensation of the cool liquid slowly edging its way down the glass until it eventually leaves a ring mark on the wooden table.

The door was closed as it was always. A small film of dust masked ever surface except for a few small areas that were in constant use. Empty coffee mugs lined his dresser top, beside his bed and even the floor was scattered with the fine white porcelain.
His clothes were always tossed onto a heap bedside his bed. The mound forever growing as the sloth dictated his habits.
The sunlight cast dull shadows across the room and caught the glint off even more particles of dust which drifted lazily to the floor.

The sounds of the outside life drifted throught the open window. The light silver fabric of the curtain played in the faint breeze and the mirrors of windchime waved alongside, casting giddy reflections about the room.
The sunlight poured into the room, making her skin darker then the usual apple white it usually was. She sighed in her sense of satisfaction as her limbs sprawled across the simple sheets underneath her. her arm lay as it had been flung next to her only moments ago and her companions fingers drew faint circles in her palm as if in a trance.
